Internship – Plastic Injection Molding: (Technician/Engineer/Sales/Account Manager)

Internship Program

Our internship program provides an opportunity for highly motivated students to gain valuable hands-on experience in the exciting world of plastic injection molding. You will work alongside experienced professionals and wear many hats for exposure as a Technician, Engineer, Sales, or Account Manager to gain a comprehensive understanding of the entire injection molding process, from design to production.

Areas of Immersion:

Technician

  • Responsibilities:
    • Assist with machine setup and operation under the supervision of experienced technicians.
    • Perform basic maintenance tasks on injection molding equipment.
    • Conduct quality control inspections on finished parts.
    • Collect and record production data.
    • Learn about mold maintenance and repair procedures.
  • Qualifications:
    • Currently enrolled in a technical program or engineering program (Associates or Bachelors degree).
    • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
    • Basic understanding of mechanical principles is a plus.

Engineer

  • Responsibilities:
    • Assist engineers with design reviews and project development.
    • Learn about mold design principles and software (e.g., CAD).
    • Conduct material research and analysis.
    • Support process optimization and troubleshooting efforts.
    • Gain exposure to quality control procedures and certifications (ISO, etc.).
  • Qualifications:
    • Currently enrolled in a mechanical engineering or related program (Bachelors degree preferred).
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficient in using engineering software (CAD is a plus).
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Sales/Account Management

  • Responsibilities:
    • Assist the sales team with research and lead generation.
    • Learn about plastic injection molding capabilities and applications.
    • Prepare quotes and proposals for potential customers.
    • Attend customer meetings and shadow sales representatives.
    • Gain experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software.
  • Qualifications:
    • Currently enrolled in a business administration or marketing program (Bachelors degree preferred).
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills.
    • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
    • Proficient in using business software (CRM, MS Office Suite).
